1. Overview

TrothBook uses PayPal as one of its official payment processors for:

• Adding credits

• Receiving payouts

• Handling marketplace transactions

All PayPal transactions follow PayPal’s own terms in addition to TrothBook’s policies.

2. Adding Credits via PayPal

Users may purchase credits using:

• PayPal balance

• Linked bank account

• Debit or credit card through PayPal

Credit purchases are instant once PayPal confirms the payment. All credit purchases are non‑refundable unless required by law.

3. PayPal Verification

To use PayPal for withdrawals, users must have:

• A verified PayPal account

• A confirmed email address

• No active PayPal limitations

TrothBook may require identity verification if suspicious activity is detected.

4. Seller Earnings & PayPal

When sellers earn credits from marketplace sales:

• Credits appear as Pending until delivery is confirmed

• After confirmation, credits become Available

• Available credits may be withdrawn to PayPal once minimum requirements are met

Pending credits cannot be withdrawn.

5. Minimum Withdrawal Balance

To withdraw credits to PayPal, users must have at least:

$50 CAD minimum available balance

This threshold:

• Reduces micro‑withdrawal fees

• Prevents fraud

• Keeps processing costs manageable

• Matches typical marketplace standards

If you want a different minimum, choose:

• Set minimum to $25

• Set minimum to $75

• Set minimum to $100

6. Withdrawal Processing Time

Withdrawals to PayPal typically take:

• 1–3 business days for verified accounts

• 3–5 business days if additional review is required

TrothBook is not responsible for PayPal delays.

7. PayPal Fees

PayPal may charge fees for:

• Currency conversion

• Receiving payments

• Cross‑border transfers

TrothBook may also apply a small withdrawal fee to cover processing costs. All fees are shown before the user confirms the withdrawal.

8. Chargebacks & Disputes

If a buyer files a PayPal chargeback:

• Credits may be frozen

• Seller withdrawals may be paused

• TrothBook may reverse credits if fraud is confirmed

• Severe cases may result in account suspension

Sellers may appeal through TrothBook’s dispute center.

9. Fraud Prevention

TrothBook may block or delay PayPal withdrawals if:

• Multiple accounts appear linked

• Sudden large withdrawals occur

• Chargebacks spike

• Suspicious marketplace behavior is detected

Identity verification may be required.

10. Account Closure

If a user closes their TrothBook account:

• Available credits above the minimum may be withdrawn

• Credits below the minimum may be forfeited

• Pending credits are canceled

• PayPal withdrawals must be completed before closure

11. Policy Updates

TrothBook may update this policy at any time. Continued use of PayPal features indicates acceptance of updated terms.
