Truth is a fruit of sanctification
Jesus prayed:


“Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” — John 17:17


Notice the order:


Truth sanctifies you.
You do not sanctify yourself by truth.


When you speak truth, live truth, and walk in truth, you are cooperating with the sanctifying work God is already doing in you.
